About Us:

At Zion Congregational Church we love God, we love each other and we love our neighbors who live in Brighton, CO and the surrounding communities. When you attend our Sunday service you can expect a warm welcome and traditional worship. Our Sunday service is a time, when through the medium of reading and preaching from the Word of God as well as the Word set to music, we praise and worship Him as the sovereign One of all Eternity.

Messages are soundly biblical, centered upon the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, and always relate to ways we can live in response to His grace.  As God's Holy Word is the foundation and substance of all preaching and teaching at Zion Congregational Church, our music ministry is likewise biblical in its content and reverent toward God, Who is most worthy of our praise and worship. Borrowing words from the hymn, "Redeemed;" "We sing, for we cannot be silent; God's love is the theme of our song.”

Statement of Faith

  • We believe the Bible consisting of the Old and New Testament, to be the only inspired, inerrant, infallible, authoritative Word of God written.

  • We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

  • We believe in the deity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

  • We believe that for salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.

  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by Whose indwelling power and fullness the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life in this present evil world.

  • We believe in the future resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

  • We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers through Christ.

Vision Statement

Consistent with our purpose and in pursuit of our mission, we will be a church that places the highest priority on relationships, with God, our neighbors and each other. We intend to be a fellowship in which anyone who has been accepted in Christ will know they are likewise fully accepted by us (Romans 15:7)

It is our intention as a local family of Christians to live by and walk in the Spirit that we might be characterized by love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. (See Galatians 5:22-26)
